2018, European Year of Cultural Heritage

The European Union has set 2018 as the Year of Cultural Heritage. Highlighting its “universal value for us as individuals, communities and societies”, they aim to raise awareness on the importance of preserving and passing it on to future generations.

In a recent post we wrote about 2 calls of proposals launched by the European Comission to finance projects: one of them was for projects related to the European Year of cultural Heritage 2018.

But there’s more than funding:

Each Member State has created a web page where they’ll show the events taking place in their country. They’ve also appointed a National Coordinator to implement the year and coordinate events and projects at local, regional and national level.

They’ll create downloadable toolkits, do competitions in social media, etc.
